For those with no university math training
- The book “The Joy of Abstraction” by Eugenia Cheng gives a very accessible introduction to category theory which explains key conceptual ideas and provides a rigorous formal treatment. There was a book club where Eugenia answered readers’ questions about each chapter, and see also this author interview.
